New Zealand’s gorgeous landscape and fascinating culture are sure to inspire the writer in all of us, making it the perfect setting for this unique trip that couples the creative with the adventurous.
Come explore the South Island with us, diva-style. We’ll hike the limestone canyons and lush rainforest of the Inland Pack Track in Punakaiki, sea kayak in Okarito Lagoon with a backdrop of snow-capped mountains, hike in Mount Aspiring National Park, enjoy the cultural offerings of Queenstown and Dunedin, explore Milford Sound by bike and boat, witness the amazing penguin colony of Oamaru and much more.
These rugged adventures will be combined with a short, daily writing workshop led by renowned travel editor and publisher Ingrid Emerick. No previous writing experience is necessary.
This unique trip will allow us ample time to experience New Zealand through our writing and journals and delve into the universal travel themes of self discovery, pilgrimage, quest, escape and cultural immersion.
Beginning writers, as well as those with more experience, are encouraged to join us. We’ll explore the peaks, valleys and waterways of this amazing land, using our journal as a means to expand and reflect upon our experiences.
