The Wadabe tribe’s festivities at the end of the rainy season include the Gerewol Ceremony. Unmarried men adorn themselves with make-up and jewels, accentuate the white of their eyes and teeth and quiver their lips and sinewy hips to impress the female judges in this ‘beauty contest.’
